Defence Construction Canada is seeking electrical contractors to join a Quick Response Tender (QRT) source list for work at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Edmonton, AB. The source list will be in place for three years from establishment and covers Electrical services (Project No. ED26SL03) for projects with estimated values up to $500,000. Contractors must apply by e-mail using the Source List application form to Brett.Cooper@dcc-cdc.gc.ca; fax or mailed applications will not be accepted. Interested contractors may request to join at any time but should allow approximately 10 days for administrative processing and are asked to apply preferably by January 13, 2026. The applicant’s chosen language will be the only language used for tender and contract documents for the duration of the source list. Procurement follows Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement. While security clearance is not required to be added to the source list, some tenders and contracts may require organization and personnel security (typically Designated Organization Screening and reliability status; in some cases Facility Security Clearance at SECRET with Document Safeguarding and secret-cleared personnel). Contracts include measurable performance standards (form DCL81); contractors with unacceptable scores may be removed from the source list. Bidding documents are available on MERX (fees may apply); questions can be directed to Brett Cooper at 780-266-1884 or Brett.Cooper@dcc-cdc.gc.ca.

This opportunity is suited to electrical contractors experienced working on government or military sites who can handle projects up to $500,000 and meet security screening requirements. Key considerations include potential security clearance needs (up to FSC SECRET with DSC and secret-cleared personnel), adherence to DCC performance evaluations (DCL81) which can lead to removal for poor scores, a preferred application date of January 13, 2026, and an administrative processing time of about 10 days.
