About

Environment and Climate Change Canada awarded a contract to OTT Hydromet Corporation for measuring, controlling, laboratory, medical and optical equipment and parts, including a non-submersible pressure transducer, and for conducting two aerological observations per day at the Fort Nelson Upper Air Station in British Columbia.

The contractor fills and prepares helium balloons, releases them for data collection, transmits the data, and adheres to the Manual of Upper Air Observations.

Additional duties include notifying air traffic control when balloons are released, maintaining a supply inventory and ordering helium, preparing monthly reports, shipping and receiving program-related items, performing snow removal as required, and providing technical support and equipment maintenance.
