The Province is seeking a supplier for ongoing wildfire crew member firetack training on an as-needed basis across Alberta to maintain preparedness for wildfire pre-suppression and suppression activities. Training is delivered in five (5) day sessions with one training provider required per twenty-four (24) participants in a classroom environment and one training provider per eight (8) participants in a field/lab environment. Work is on an as-needed basis with no guarantee of volume and may be required in any of the following forest areas: Calgary Forest Area, Edson Forest Area, Grande Prairie Forest Area, High Level Forest Area, Lac La Biche Forest Area, Fort McMurray Forest Area, Peace River Forest Area, Rocky Mountain House Forest Area, Slave Lake Forest Area, and Whitecourt Forest Area.

This tender is best suited to training providers able to deliver five-day firetack courses related to wildfire pre-suppression and suppression and to supply trainers at the required classroom (1:24) and field (1:8) ratios across multiple Alberta forest areas. Key considerations include managing logistics and travel to widely distributed locations and the uncertainty of work since engagements are on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed volume.
