Provision of Certified Heavy Equipment Operator and Diesel Mechanic at Eureka Weather Station, NU

Environment and Climate Change Canada awarded a contract to Atco Frontec Ltd for the provision of a certified Heavy Equipment Operator and a certified Diesel Mechanic to be onsite on a continuous basis (7 days a week, 365 days per year) at the Eureka Weather Station, Eureka, NU, including all Federal, Territorial and Municipal holidays.

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Power Generating Equipment including engine driven generator sets of 400kW and more, PC programmed control systems, cooling systems, fuel supply and storage systems, system control and switching gear.

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all identified pieces of Heavy Equipment.

The contract also includes equipment operator, equipment maintenance and various site services.

The contract value is CAD 11,436,601.57.
