Tender: Wharf Replacement and Reconstruction – L’Orignal, Ontario (Ottawa River)

Contractor needed to replace and reconstruct the wharf in L’Orignal, ON, located at the end of Wharf Street on the south side of the Ottawa River approximately 90 km east of Ottawa. Work includes demolition and removal of existing wharf structures and associated infrastructure with disposal of demolished materials; removal, salvage, temporary storage and reinstatement of the existing boat launch ramp and components; salvage, storage and reinstallation of existing ballast materials; construction of new timber crib wharf structures including supply and installation of structural timber components, decking, curbs, fender systems and mooring hardware; excavation and foundation preparation, placement of geotextile materials and installation of granular, stone and erosion protection; construction of reinforced concrete elements for the wharf and access areas; site grading, shoreline restoration, reinstatement of disturbed areas and completion of ancillary works to deliver a fully operational marine facility. Optional scope includes supply and installation of one additional timber crib structure and supply and installation of armour stone protection. Bidders may visit the site at their own expense to review conditions, must take appropriate safety measures for site visits, and should verify access, weather and soil conditions prior to bidding. Work is proposed to be completed between October 2026 and March 2027.
