Tender: Supply Arrangements for Charter Vessels for Canadian Oceanography and Fisheries Science Operations

Government is seeking charter vessel suppliers to establish pre-qualified supply arrangements to support ocean science and fisheries science operations across Canadian waters, cancelling and superseding bid solicitation 30000316 (dated January 24, 2022, closing March 25, 2022 at 14:00 Atlantic Time). The requirement covers a range of at-sea projects and missions such as oceanography, marine mammal studies, hydrography, stock assessment, biodiversity and habitat management, with missions in Atlantic, Pacific, Central and Arctic regions and both near-shore and offshore areas. Vessel capabilities requested include availability for multiple field programs ranging from 1 to 265 days annually with options for multiple years; the ability to perform various oceanographic operations and trawls; support for up to 20 science crew for several weeks; the capacity to catch and allow processing of large quantities of fish; the ability to remain at sea for extended periods (weeks to months); and the ability to have mission-specific equipment installed onboard (permanent or non-permanent). The Request for Supply Arrangements (RFSA) will be posted on buyandsell.gc.ca for 7 years with an option to extend, and bidders may submit bids only during the following months: July 2022, February 2023, July 2023, February 2024, July 2024, February 2025, July 2025, February 2026, July 2026, February 2027, July 2027, February 2028, July 2028, February 2029.
