City of Morden is seeking a contractor to stabilize the east abutment of the spillway at Morden Dam, involving removal and reinstallation of existing gabion baskets within the failed slope area, installation of granular rib trenches into grade slopes, fencing, common excavation, installation of a gabion basket retaining wall and wall drain, and regrading of slopes as described in the specifications. The scope also includes regrading of the parking lot to redirect runoff away from the east abutment, including removal and reinstallation of the existing fence, salvage of existing gravel, waste excavation, and supply and placement of traffic gravel.

This could be ideal for civil contractors experienced in slope stabilization, gabion retaining walls, earthworks and drainage works; key considerations include working in a failed slope area with removal/reinstallation of gabions, managing runoff and drainage during construction, and coordinating salvage and replacement of parking lot gravel.
