About

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is seeking a supplier to develop science-policy frameworks and place-based freshwater monitoring strategies to strengthen monitoring objectives for both macroplastics and microplastics across Canada. The work will identify fit-for-purpose monitoring approaches aligned with relevant sources, pathways and distribution across surface water, sediment and biota, assess feasibility within current analytical and operational constraints, and leverage existing regional, national and international methods and initiatives where appropriate to improve consistency, comparability, interoperability, reliability and efficiency while minimizing duplication of effort.
