The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is seeking a supplier to establish a regional standing offer for Western Digital Purple Hard Disk Drives or equivalent for use in network video recording systems to store surveillance footage. This solicitation is open only to Canadian suppliers and suppliers of applicable trading partners, and has been conditionally set aside under the federal Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business (PSIB), requiring suppliers to certify Indigenous business status and comply with PSIB requirements. The procurement is subject to the Tsawwassen First Nation Final Agreement (2009), the basis of selection is the Lowest Price Compliant Proposal, and supplier integrity and compliance provisions and the Ineligibility and Suspension Policy apply. Offers may be submitted by email to the RCMP Bid Receiving Unit at E_Pacific_Bids@rcmp-grc.gc.ca (Attention: Sherry Chen); documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada. The RCMP also encourages environmentally preferable packaging for delivered goods.

This tender is particularly relevant for Indigenous businesses and Canadian suppliers that can supply surveillance-grade HDDs for government use; key considerations include PSIB certification and compliance, adherence to the Lowest Price Compliant Proposal selection method, application of supplier integrity/ineligibility rules, and that the procurement is subject to the Tsawwassen First Nation Final Agreement.
