About

Natural Resources Canada is seeking a supplier to design, install, maintain and support its electronic security and surveillance systems across multiple sites nationwide. The work focuses on strengthening physical security by improving access control, video management and intrusion detection to ensure personnel safety and operational continuity. NRCan currently operates a hybrid cloud and on‑premises IP-based system (transitioned from analog between 2016 and 2020 with enhancements through 2023), maintained via a mix of in-house IT/security resources and contracted support, and monitored by the NRCan Security Operations Control Centre (SOCC) at 580 Booth Street in Ottawa. The deployed system includes approximately 500 card readers and 500 cameras across more than 25 sites.
