Tender: Demolition and Site Reclamation of Bow Island Bunkhouse and Pinhorn Cookhouse – Alberta Provincial Grazing Reserves

Contractor sought to demolish, remove, dispose and reclaim two aging buildings in Alberta Provincial Grazing Reserves: the Bow Island bunkhouse, an approximately 450 sq ft condemned log cabin about 20 km north of Bow Island with active electrical, gas, water and septic services, a well beneath the bunkhouse that supplies multiple other buildings, permanent on-site staff and livestock, no as-built drawings, and a 2026 hazardous materials assessment identifying lead-containing paint requiring abatement prior to demolition; and the Pinhorn cookhouse, an approximately 400 sq ft cookhouse about 100 km east of Milk River with no active utilities, no as-built drawings, a steep access road only passable in dry or frozen conditions, and the nearest town and disposal site in Foremost approximately 150 km northwest. The project objective is to remove the specified infrastructure and reclaim both sites for long-term operations.
