Minnow Lake Provincial Recreation Area is seeking a contractor to repair and upgrade the boat launch located 20 km east of Edson on Hwy 16 and 20 km south on Wolf Lake Road. Work includes extending the boat launch into deeper water by establishing the required grade and installing a granular base, replacing broken concrete pads with new supplied concrete pads, installing washed river rock along the launch edges to protect against erosion and undermining, and performing drainage improvements along the roadway to reduce surface water issues, improve runoff management, and prevent further deterioration of access to the launch. The existing day-use boat launch is approximately 3050 mm wide by 9145 mm long and is constructed of 21 concrete pads, each approximately 3050 mm wide by 250 mm long by 150 mm thick. The goal of the project is to complete upgrades to provide improved public boat launch access. Refer to the RFQ document for additional information and complete scope of work.

This could be of interest to contractors experienced in concrete pad replacement, establishing launch grades and shoreline erosion protection for in-water structures. Key considerations include extending the launch into deeper water, protecting against erosion and undermining along the launch edges, and carrying out drainage improvements on the access roadway.
