The Government of Alberta is seeking qualified aviation service providers to establish a pool of Preferred Vendors for aircraft rental services supporting environmental monitoring, conservation, stewardship, and wildlife management across Alberta. The RFP covers four service types: Airshed and Watershed Stewardship, Heli-Stocking of Fish in Remote Lakes, Oil Sands Monitoring, and Wildlife Monitoring Surveys, and may include provision of fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, pilots, crew, specialized equipment, fuel, and associated operational support. Proponents may bid on one or more service types and geographic regions; successful proponents will enter a Master Service Agreement with an initial three-year term and a Province-held option to extend up to 24 months. The Province intends to establish Preferred and Select Vendors to support planned and emergency aviation operations including transportation of personnel and equipment, aerial telemetry, remote site access, and related aviation activities. Interested proponents must demonstrate compliance with the mandatory aircraft, pilot qualification, operational, safety, insurance, and regulatory requirements set out in the RFP documents.
