Yellowhead County is seeking real estate investment trusts (REITs) and developers to submit proposals for the acquisition and development of County-owned lands identified as Node 9, an approximately 500-acre site in the Jasper‑Hinton corridor immediately outside the eastern gate of Jasper National Park. The County, which acquired the lands from the Government of Alberta, is inviting qualified and experienced private‑sector partner(s) to advance destination development that will increase regional tourism capacity, diversify the local economy, and complement the offerings of Jasper National Park.
