Tender: Vulcan Parks Workshop Roof Replacement – Full Membrane, Flashings, Drainage and Access Works

Vulcan Parks Workshop is seeking a contractor to carry out a full roof replacement at the workshop, including removal and disposal of the existing asphalt and felt BUR membrane system, gravel protection, gypsum board on deck, asphalt vapour retarder membrane, insulation, and existing metal flashings and counter flashings. The work also includes deleting roof-mounted antenna towers, bases, cables and guy wires; removing, storing and reinstalling instruments/devices mounted on the exterior or through the parapet as required; replacing metal flashings, roof penetration flashings and roof drain assemblies; installing two new overflow scuppers as indicated on the Roof Plan; and replacing the roof with new gypsum board on steel deck, a new air barrier and vapour retarder membrane, new insulation, composite coverboard and a new 2-ply SBS membrane system. Additional scope includes providing a non-penetrating free-standing safety zone warning line positioned 2 m from the roof edge (in accordance with OHS requirements), installing a new external corner grab handle on the existing roof hatch, and fabricating and installing an engineered fixed roof access ladder from lower Roof Area 2 to upper Roof Area 4.
