About

The Town of Banff is seeking a consultant to develop functional designs for stormwater treatment infrastructure for five catchments, compatible with the existing state of development and practical space constraints in each catchment. The primary focus is stormwater quality enhancement while ensuring the conveyance capacity of the existing major and minor stormwater infrastructure is maintained; quantity reduction (detention, infiltration, etc.) is a desirable secondary goal and solutions that achieve both quality and quantity improvements will be preferred. The scope also requires recommendations for widespread approaches, including new standards for low impact development (LID) and nature-based solutions on streetscapes and elsewhere in the public realm to be incorporated into the proposed functional designs for each catchment. Addendum No.1 was posted on September 1, 2026 and Addendum No.2 was posted on September 3, 2026.
