About

Vulcan County is seeking a supplier for a 2027 tandem gravel/plow truck and is accepting proposals on new equipment. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked 2027 Tandem Gravel/Plow Truck by 9:00 am on October 27, 2026 at the Vulcan County Public Works Shop located at 107 3rd Street South, Vulcan, Alberta, or by email to mike.kiemele@vulcancounty.ab.ca; equipment specifications are attached. This procurement is a Request for Proposals (not an Invitation to Tender) and Vulcan County reserves the right to accept or reject proposals without negotiations, negotiate changes to the successful proposal, waive irregularities, and accept any proposal other than the lowest; by submitting a proposal the proponent waives the right to contest the award. The County may consider factors beyond price, including experience, reputation, safety considerations (including safety record), financial solvency, rating guide, and service history and warranty performance with Vulcan County.
