The Government of Saskatchewan's Ministry of Highways is seeking suppliers to be prequalified to install and/or repair guard rails and cable barriers, including the supply of materials, on an “if and when need” basis at locations across Saskatchewan. This is a repost of RFSQ 8656 (originally posted July 14, 2023) and is a continuous onboarding RFSQ; suppliers previously prequalified through RFSQ 8656 do not need to respond and the list of prequalified suppliers is available on the original RFSQ 8656 posting on SaskTenders. Pre-qualification will be posted continuously for the length of the RFSQ term, the same terms, qualifications and evaluation processes from the initial RFSQ apply, and evaluation and selection will occur quarterly or at the discretion of the Government of Saskatchewan from the Issue Date until onboarding ends (expected to continue until six months prior to RFSQ expiration); questions will be answered continuously. Respondents not qualified through this process will not be eligible to re-qualify until three months after their last submission.

This could be ideal for contractors with experience installing and repairing guard rails and cable barriers who can supply materials and operate across multiple Saskatchewan locations. Key considerations include the continuous onboarding process with quarterly or discretionary selection windows, the repost status (previously prequalified suppliers need not reapply), the requirement to meet the stated plans/specifications/special provisions, and the three-month wait before reapplying if not prequalified.
