About

Construction contractor needed to remove and dispose of the existing two-span (6.1 m + 6.1 m) treated timber deck/girder bridge on timber piles and to supply, set up and drive galvanized and plain steel H-piles at abutments; construct SPCS abutments backwalls and wingwalls with new steel H-pile abutment caps and stiffener plates; place Class 1 heavy rock riprap; fabricate, deliver and erect a single-span (1–14 m) type SL-510 prestressed girder assembly; backfill bridge ends; supply and install new TL-2 low-height thrie beam bridgerail and approach rail transition, approach road guardrail, roadway work, and supply and install silt fence.
