About

Defence Construction Canada is seeking contractors for remediation of PFAS‑impacted soils at 19 Wing, CFB Comox, Lazo, BC, using in‑situ soil mixing (chemical) and stabilization, selective excavation, off‑site disposal, drainage improvements and site restoration. The work is located within a former detonation and training area and is subject to unexploded ordnance (UXO) risk, environmental protection requirements and tight seasonal construction windows; construction is planned in two distinct phases for scheduling, UXO sequencing and constructability reasons. The Advance Procurement Notice (APN 87758) gives an approximate estimate of $9,300,000 and anticipates solicitation posting in January 2027; to be eligible for award proponents must actively hold or obtain the required security clearance (anticipated level: Designated Organization Screening) and DCC may provide sponsorship under its Industrial Security Program.
