About

A request for information is seeking a supplier to replace the current Vessel Traffic Management and Information System (VTMIS) with a modernized VTMS to improve CCG services. The new VTMS will improve maritime traffic monitoring by leveraging rule-based automatic alerts and risk analysis tools to assist MCTS officers in anticipating and mitigating risks; enable an integrated image showing both vessel traffic and waterways conditions, such as geographical features, ice conditions, meteorological information and other relevant data sources; and harmonize vessel traffic services delivery with e-Navigation and the adoption of international standards from the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO).
