Manitoba Hydro is seeking suppliers for bearing rebabbitting services through a Request for Qualified Suppliers (RFQS) prequalification framework that remains open on MERX until the framework expiry on October 31, 2029. This RFQS establishes a two-stage process: first Manitoba Hydro will evaluate submissions and award Framework Agreements to qualified suppliers (a Framework Agreement is not a contract for services), and later Manitoba Hydro will issue requests to qualified suppliers and may award Service Release Orders (SROs) as contracts when goods or services are required. Interested suppliers should email Amanda Sansregret (asansregret@hydro.mb.ca) to request the information package and return completed submissions by email (not via MERX), preferably in searchable PDF format with bookmarks; suppliers can expect an evaluation period of up to 4–6 weeks and only successful suppliers will be awarded a Framework Agreement. Manitoba Hydro may revise service categories and existing qualified suppliers will not be required to requalify but may apply for additional categories.

This is most relevant to companies that provide bearing rebabbitting or related bearing refurbishment services and repair shops with rebabbitting capability. Key considerations include that the Framework Agreement does not guarantee work (suppliers must respond to later SRO requests to win contracts), submissions must be emailed in the requested searchable PDF format (not via MERX), evaluation can take 4–6 weeks, and Manitoba Hydro may revise service categories during the framework term.
