About

The Ministry of Highways is seeking a contractor to complete a culvert replacement on Highway No. 9, 6.95 km south of its junction with Highway No. 22. The work involves installation of two 1,400 mm diameter polymer laminated corrugated steel pipe culverts by open excavation for a total length of 54 m, with the Ministry supplying 2 × 1,400 mm × 27 m polymer laminated corrugated steel pipes (125 mm × 25 mm corrugations, 2.0 mm wall thickness). Initial estimated quantities, subject to change, include removal and disposal of a 27.8 m wood box culvert, 75 m3 Riprap Type 2, 300 m3 granular backfill, 110 t asphalt concrete and 400 t granular base course. The procurement will have a shortened advertising period and an early completion schedule, with work expected as early as September 2026 and a specified completion date as early as October 31, 2026; the Ministry reserves the right not to proceed. A 5% deposit is required with each tender, and bidders may request a debriefing from the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement within 30 days after award notification.
