About

Onward Homes is seeking a supplier for a complete flooring replacement of interior corridors at Murdoch Manor and George King Tower in Calgary, replacing aging carpet and legacy materials across 23 floors of two senior residential high-rises with a glue-down luxury vinyl plank system. The project requires full demolition and daily off-site disposal of existing materials, intensive subfloor preparation including mechanical concrete profiling to a surface profile rating of 2–3 using diamond grinding or scarifying as outlined in section 3.2, and mandatory relative humidity moisture testing on all floors to confirm slab suitability for adhesive application. Materials must be glue-down luxury vinyl plank with a minimum thickness of five millimeters and a 20 mil wear layer, meet a minimum R10 anti-slip rating for senior safety, and include six-inch rubber cove base and code-compliant beveled transitions, all within a maximum budget ceiling of two hundred twenty thousand dollars ($220,000).
