The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) is seeking a geotechnical engineering consultant to investigate subsurface conditions beneath an existing interior floor slab within an occupied post‑secondary facility as part of the South Lobby Redevelopment. The consultant will determine the nature and extent of any subsurface conditions contributing to observed slab settlement, differential movement, cracking, heaving, voiding, or loss of support, and provide recommendations for remediation and future redevelopment considerations. The facility will remain operational during the investigation, and the consultant must plan and execute the work to minimize disruption to students, staff, faculty, and facility operations.
