Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada is seeking a supplier for one G.5 Geographic Information System Data Architect, Level 3, to establish a centralized geospatial data environment within its Azure-based Unified Data Platform (UDP). The role will enable efficient ingestion, validation, storage, integration, sharing, and spatial analysis of geospatial data across the organization, support real-time relationships between spatial data and enterprise business datasets, and advance automation and more consistent data-driven decision-making. The engagement also includes delivering a cost-benefit analysis and recommendation of options to procure a modern geospatial platform, comparing how options integrate with HICC's existing spatial capabilities and data ecosystems, assessing potential value, costs and implementation considerations, and identifying opportunities for location-based analysis, research, reporting, evaluation, automation and application geoprocessing across the department.

This could be valuable for GIS architects, consultants, or firms with experience in Azure-based enterprise data platforms and geospatial system procurement; key considerations include demonstrating integration with HICC's existing spatial capabilities, enabling real-time data relationships and automation, and providing a clear cost-benefit justification for recommended platform options.
