Tender: Design, Supply and Installation of Pre-Engineered Storage Shed – Spruce Woods Provincial Park, Glenboro MB
Released about 2 months ago
About
The Government of Manitoba (Department of Environment and Climate Change, Parks and Trails Branch) is seeking a supplier for the design, supply and installation of a pre-engineered storage shed as described in Section 1 (Appendix 3) of the RFP Particulars. Preference will be given to Canadian suppliers submitting compliant proposals; where a non-Canadian manufactured product is proposed the awarded contractor must collaborate with Manitoba to identify Canadian alternative products of equivalent quality and performance and substantiate any cost variances with invoices and receipts. The work site is in Spruce Woods Provincial Park, approximately 12 km north of Glenboro, adjacent to a lagoon and accessed by local roads; the site will not be occupied during construction and a staff bunkhouse is directly west of the site, so pedestrian and vehicular traffic should be safely managed. Procurement and Supply Chain is administering the RFP; the RFP Contact is Li Li (bids@gov.mb.ca) with subject line Project No. 2025-117-SS-P Storage Shed in Spruce Woods Provincial Park. An optional virtual pre-bid meeting (Microsoft Teams) is scheduled for September 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM local time (registration by email required by end of business September 17, 2026); site visits may be arranged by appointment. Deadline for questions is September 23, 2026 (to Bids@gov.mb.ca). Bid submissions must be uploaded through MERX by October 7, 2026 at 4:00 PM CDT; proponents must not contact Manitoba representatives other than the RFP Contact.
This opportunity is most relevant to suppliers experienced in design, supply and installation of pre-engineered buildings and Canadian manufacturers or distributors who can meet preference requirements. Key considerations include site access via local roads and proximity to a lagoon, the need to manage on-site pedestrian and vehicle safety with a nearby bunkhouse, strict single-point RFP contact rules, and the requirement to propose and document Canadian alternative products and any cost variances.
