Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors is seeking a supplier for engineering services for bridge and culvert replacements under two contracts: Contract A (CON0025466) covering standard bridge and culvert replacements including BF 09035 carrying HWY857:04 over a tributary to Vermilion River, BF 01456 carrying HWY854:06 over watercourse/HWY, BF 83257 carrying HWY834:02 over watercourse/HWY, BF 08898 carrying HWY857:02 over watercourse/HWY, BF 77834 carrying HWY834:02 over watercourse/HWY, and BF 08307 carrying HWY855:12 over watercourse/HWY; and Contract B (CON0025966) to provide a regional bridge engineering consultant for as-and-when-required culvert and standard bridge replacements in the southeastern area. Required services include preliminary engineering, detailed design, contract tendering, contract administration, construction and fabrication supervision, post-construction and warranty inspection. Proposals must be submitted as two separate PDF files (Part One: qualification submission; Part Two: fee proposal), each under 10 MB. This RFP is limited to the following short-listed proponents: Associated Engineering Alberta Ltd., Lex3 Engineering Inc., and MPA Engineering Ltd.; submissions from others will be returned without review. No payment will be made for proposal preparation costs and selection will be based on the best overall value to Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors and not necessarily the lowest cost.

This opportunity is suited to engineering firms able to deliver full lifecycle bridge and culvert projects and to those already prequalified from RFEI 2025-03 (Associated Engineering Alberta Ltd., Lex3 Engineering Inc., MPA Engineering Ltd.). Key considerations include the restriction to short-listed proponents, the strict two-file PDF submission under 10 MB, no reimbursement for proposal costs, and evaluation based on overall value rather than lowest price.
