Parks Planning & Strategic Initiatives within the Parks & Recreation Division, in association with the Purchasing and Materials Management Division, is seeking a supplier for a multidisciplinary design team led by a registered landscape architect to provide full professional and technical services for the design and construction of a new park including public art at 34 Hanna Ave. This RFP is the second phase of a design competition focused on selecting a supplier to deliver park design including a washroom pavilion and public art; the project will be awarded to the supplier whose design best meets the project goals and the design brief as determined by the Jury. Only suppliers pre‑qualified through the 34 Hanna Ave. RFSQ (CCxA Architectes Paysagistes Inc., Daoust Lestage Inc., MacLennan Jaunkalns Miller Architects Ltd., Nippaysage Inc., and PMA Landscape Architects Ltd.) are eligible to participate. The successful supplier must assemble, coordinate and administer a team that includes a landscape architect (lead, full member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects and with seal), an architect (in good standing with the Ontario Association of Architects), an artist or artist team, engineers for drainage and servicing as well as lighting design (mechanical, electrical, civil and structural), green infrastructure and carbon neutrality/climate positive design expertise, a cost consultant, and other expertise as specified by the supplier. City division: Parks, Forestry & Recreation.

This is most relevant to the five pre‑qualified multidisciplinary firms listed or to teams led by a registered landscape architect that can coordinate the required artist, engineering, green infrastructure and cost consulting disciplines; key considerations include meeting the Jury‑evaluated project goals in the RFP and managing coordination of multiple specialist disciplines (including carbon‑neutral/climate‑positive design) through design and construction.
