Alberta Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration (Training and Employment Services Branch) is seeking a supplier to deliver the Short Course Training and Employment Centre from Edmonton for eligible Albertans throughout the Alberta North Region. The Centre is a Transition to Employment Services (TES) initiative that centers occupation-targeted short-course training and certification: providers will maintain a catalogue of occupations, each mapped to a pre-determined bundle of certifications, tickets, and short-term training, and enroll Participants into occupation-specific pathways. Training is delivered alongside TES employment supports including assessment, job search, placement and ninety-day follow-up, and may include optional Paid Work Experience (PWE) as a short-term, cost-recovery wage subsidy adapted from the branch’s Workplace Training authorities; PWE is the only Workplace Training component used and the Centre is delivered as a full TES service rather than a full WT program.
