About

The Correctional Service of Canada is seeking suppliers to provide Community Residential Facility (CRF) services that offer 24-hour residential accommodation, meals, monitoring, general support and assistance for federal offenders released to the community on conditional release, statutory release or subject to Long‑Term Supervision Orders; services may include enhanced program supports such as life skills teaching, referrals to community supports, employment assistance, health-related support and crisis intervention, provided on an "as and when requested" basis. CSC notes it currently has approximately 200 contracts with Community-Based Residential Facilities across Canada, requires suppliers to retain ownership of facilities (no funding for construction), and normally awards service periods of one year with additional option years at CSC's discretion. Suppliers must meet security screening through the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate where applicable, carry Commercial General Liability insurance of at least $2,000,000 with Canada named as additional insured, comply with applicable legislation, permits, zoning, health, safety, building and fire codes, and meet essential experience requirements of two years' recent experience working with adult offenders on conditional release and two years' recent experience providing residential accommodation to offenders.
