Tender: Construction of Stoughton–Tecumseh Health Centre — General Contractor Services, Stoughton SK
Released 2 months ago
About
The Rural Municipality of Tecumseh No. 65, in partnership with the Town of Stoughton, is seeking a general contractor for the complete construction of the new Stoughton–Tecumseh Health Centre in Stoughton, Saskatchewan. The project is a one‑storey, approximately 4,528 ft² (420.7 m²) facility with an approximate footprint of 88' × 52', classified as Group D occupancy with an occupant load of 54 and two required exits. The successful contractor will deliver a fully operational, code‑compliant health‑care facility and be responsible for project management, supervision, procurement, subcontractor coordination, construction, testing, commissioning, deficiency correction and project closeout. Proponents must demonstrate commercial/institutional construction experience and the ability to manage multiple trades while maintaining schedule, quality, safety and cost control; the procurement is intended to result in a single construction contract and the architectural and structural drawings are Issued For Construction, with separate mechanical and electrical documents to be incorporated and priced by proponents.
This tender is likely most valuable to commercial or institutional general contractors experienced in multi‑trade healthcare or similar facilities delivery and in managing end‑to‑end construction and commissioning. Key considerations include incorporating separate mechanical and electrical scopes and pricing, ensuring code compliance for a Group D occupancy with specified occupant load and exits, and demonstrating strong schedule, quality, safety and cost control capabilities.
