Tender: Bituminous Pad Repair at East Perimeter Office South Entrance, Navin MB (Approx. 32 m²)

The Department is seeking a contractor for removal and replacement of an existing asphalt pad at the East Perimeter Office south entrance (22080 PTH 1E, Navin, Manitoba). The work covers approximately 32.00 m² immediately adjacent to the concrete entrance pad and includes mobilization of equipment, traffic control (men, equipment, signage and flaggers as determined by the Contract Administrator), sawcutting, removal and disposal of the existing asphalt (contractor retains removed material and must dispose of it at an environmentally acceptable site), re-blading/reshaping and recompaction of the base, placement of supplementary base course (GBC-I) as required, application of Tack Coat (SS-1) per Specification 806(I), and placement and compaction of a single 65 mm lift of Bituminous Pavement Class “B” to neatly match the existing concrete and adjacent asphalt. Specifications for Bituminous Pavement (800(I)) apply; the Department will accept City of Winnipeg Type 1A mix as an alternative and 150/200 Type “A” is referenced. The contractor must supply and haul VMA material, use Warm Mix and Anti-Strip additive per the Approved Product List, and anticipate specialized equipment and handwork such as asphalt raking; the unit price for “Bituminous Pad Repair” is payment in full for all described work and incidental operations.
